About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead agile systems engineering and integration efforts for national security space systems
  • Design, develop, and evolve systems with advanced technology solutions
  • Manage requirements across planning, design, implementation, testing, and release phases
  • Trace requirements, acceptance criteria, performance requirements, and key performance parameters (KPPs)
  • Identify gaps between requirements and development team activities
  • Coordinate updates to the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
  • Communicate requirements changes through the Engineering Review Board (ERB)
  • Apply mission engineering principles to analyze mission threads
  • Align system capabilities to operational needs
  • Optimize architectures for mission success across the space enterprise
  • Support development of resilient ground system infrastructure for space domain awareness
  • Collaborate with customer, development, and cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to cloud architecture and modern software lifecycle management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience with systems engineering including system architecture and design, requirements analysis and management, interface definition, verification and validation, and trade study development
  • 4+ years of experience with requirements management tools and processes
  • Experience creating and managing operational, system, and technical architecture products, such as OVs, SVs, and TVs, using DoDAF
  • Experience conducting end-to-end mission workflow analysis to support design trades, capability assessments, and system-of-systems integration
  • Experience with systems engineering support for development, operations, or sustainment within DoD or Intelligence Community programs
  • Ability to convey complex engineering concepts to varied audiences
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and maintain mission-level architectures aligned with DoD or IC standards and frameworks
  • Ability to translate mission needs into actionable system requirements and technical specifications
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
  • Experience engineering systems hosted in cloud-based infrastructures
  • Experience working in Agile development environments, including JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community mission areas, processes, and frameworks
  • Agile Certification such as SAFe Agilist Certification
