Key responsibilities & impact

Support procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
Support a portfolio of subcontract agreements and direct procurement requirements
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to facilitate information flow across the supply chain
Support negotiation of favorable terms, pricing, and service levels
Manage inventory levels to optimize availability while minimizing costs
Identify supply chain risks and participate in mitigation strategies
Provide advice on subcontract and direct procurement matters, contract types, compliance, organizational conflicts of interest, and risk management
Address issues arising during the procurement lifecycle
Ensure procurement activities comply with laws, regulations, and organizational policies
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among administrators
Support less experienced administrators and technical staff
Analyze the procurement portfolio to identify operational improvements and innovation
Support data analytics and forecasting to anticipate customer demand and increase efficiency
Establish and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships
Monitor supplier performance and contractual compliance
Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, spend analysis, supplier performance metrics, and market trends
Use data analysis to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in subcontracts or purchasing
Experience in procurement or subcontract management, including supporting proposals, supplier selection, or subcontract administration
Experience working with suppliers and their sub-tiers with product and service delivery
Knowledge of procurement software and tools such as ERP systems or e-procurement platforms
Knowledge of contract management software and tools
Ability to function independently as a self-starter and manage work efficiently
Ability to collaborate with program leadership and stakeholders to drive delivery of procurements
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
