About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and motions
- Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case-related documents
- Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions
- Manage attorney calendars and schedule depositions
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
- Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements in New Jersey State and Federal courts
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in legal studies and/or paralegal certificate required
- Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Preferably experience in insurance defense
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey State court rules, procedures, and e-filing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a high-volume practice
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Must be based in New Jersey or New York
