About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely transport youth to and from family visits
- Supervise visits to ensure safe, appropriate interactions
- Guide parents with constructive engagement and redirection
- Document visits and report behaviors or safety concerns
- Build trust with families to support positive outcomes
- Visit homes with varied or substandard living conditions and domestic pets
- Perform duties in indoor and outdoor settings and all weather conditions
- Serve as a role model reflecting Boys Town mission values
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in youth care or human services
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Registration check
- Ability to drive for extended periods and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements
- Meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy and/or state and local laws
- Ability to lift children or car seats up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to safely transport youth in all weather conditions
- Comfortable entering varied home environments and managing challenging behaviors
- Sufficient ability to see, hear, speak, and mobility to monitor youth
- Safe driver able to transport youth and families in all seasons and weather conditions
