About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver a balanced program of instruction to a class when the assigned instructor is unavailable.
- Deliver engaging instruction and implement lesson plans for students in accordance with established curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs.
- Supervise and support students in classroom and school settings.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff and families.
- Provide meaningful instruction, support student growth, and maintain a positive learning environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school required.
- Current Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Nebraska Substitute Teacher Certificate or a Local Substitute Teacher Certificate required.
- PEM, CPR and nationally recognized personal restraint model must be obtained if subbing in the RTC or select settings required.
- CPR and personal restraint certification required in select settings.
- Background and experience to include work with learning disabled and behaviorally impaired learners preferred.
- Special Education endorsement preferred.
