About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage, including unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing, across Angular frontends and Symfony/PHP APIs
Maintain and extend the frontend unit test suite in Vitest
Create and maintain Foundry factories and test data for realistic development examples and stable automated-testing records
Perform manual and exploratory testing when human judgment is more effective than automation
Own testing through user acceptance testing (UAT), including writing non-technical test scripts and scenarios for Product and stakeholder review
Triage, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
Verify fixes and confirm changes do not introduce regressions
Partner with Development and Product to review specifications and acceptance criteria, identify edge cases, and build quality into solutions
Use AI tools to accelerate test case creation, exploratory test design, test data, and script authoring while independently validating outputs
Help define and maintain quality standards, test coverage expectations, and release-readiness criteria

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Relevant fields include computer science, information systems, data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, accounting, finance, and economics
Strong ability to understand and reason through complex relational data models, including schemas, relationships, foreign keys, and valid data states
Demonstrated curiosity about how a business operates and ability to learn an unfamiliar domain quickly by asking effective questions and building a strong understanding of expected outcomes
Ability to read TypeScript and PHP well enough to understand application behavior and evaluate whether test code and AI-generated outputs are valid
Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing
Strong judgment in evaluating test quality, including ability to recognize tests that pass without meaningfully validating expected behavior
Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working through ambiguity, changing requirements, and frequent releases without sacrificing quality
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to translate between technical teams and business users
Working comfort with AI tools for generating test cases, test data, and scripts, or demonstrated aptitude and interest in making AI a regular part of the testing process
Preferred experience with Vitest, Playwright, Angular Testing Library, Foundry or similar factory/seeding tools, relational data analysis, systems/ERP implementation, professional services, accounting, or advisory environments
