About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and deliver complex technical solutions, including AI-enabled and agentic systems, meeting functional, performance, and security requirements
- Build production-grade agents and AI-powered workflows involving tool use, orchestration, retrieval, and integration with systems of record
- Translate loosely defined business and product requirements into technical plans and execute them
- Write maintainable, testable code and own components from design through production
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic coding tools daily and improve team AI practices
- Build evaluation, testing, and observability for shipped AI behavior
- Apply AI across discovery, requirements, build, test, release, and support, measuring impact on speed and quality
- Build safe interfaces, adapters, and guardrails for agents working with legacy systems
- Participate in code and design reviews
- Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps on end-to-end delivery quality and CI/CD discipline
- Identify technical and AI-specific risks, including security, privacy, cost, and reliability
- Evaluate emerging models, tools, and techniques and recommend appropriate solutions
- Work across Licensing, Registrations, Reservations, and emerging product domains as priorities shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including ownership of significant components or features from design through production
- Current highly agentic working style, with AI coding agents central to development and ability to verify their output
- Experience building agents, automations, or tooling such as custom agent workflows, MCP servers, or scripts chaining models and tools; side projects and internal tools count
- Working knowledge of tool use, orchestration, context management, and structured outputs
- Habit of checking AI output through tests, review, or lightweight evaluations
- Awareness of AI security and data-handling risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, and agent access control
- Strong foundation in at least one modern programming language and ability to learn others quickly
- Experience with RESTful APIs, service-oriented or microservice architectures, and at least one major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with relational databases and data modeling
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling, including automated build, test, and release pipelines
- Experience working in or integrating with legacy and long-lived systems
- No specific industry background is required
- Nice to have: LLM-powered product features, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, production AI monitoring, and vector or search stores
- Nice to have: Docker, Kubernetes, MCP or similar standards, modern front-end framework, open-source contributions, or technical writing
