About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and enhance analytical data models and Data Marts to support Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize data structures across analytical layers, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Conduct exploratory and diagnostic analyses using SQL and Python to identify opportunities and trends and generate business insights.
  • Develop and maintain management dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Ensure data quality through validation, testing, and KPI monitoring.
  • Map, document, and catalog business rules, KPIs, and data assets.
  • Partner with business and technology teams, translating strategic needs into analytical solutions.
  • Support the advancement of a data-driven culture by promoting the conscious and efficient use of information.
  • Contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring traceability, standardization, and accessibility of corporate data.
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven analyses, metrics, and recommendations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or related data functions.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis and transformation.
  • Experience working in Databricks and AWS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with analytical modeling and the development of corporate KPIs.
  • Experience with data quality and governance.
  • Experience building executive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification is a plus.
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DataOps is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
  • Experience with Unity Catalog and Delta Lake is a plus.
