About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Product and Underwriting teams in identifying and structuring reinsurance programs.
- Evaluate and review reinsurance contracts, identifying opportunities for improvement and coverage enhancements.
- Lead negotiations with reinsurers, seeking the best technical and commercial terms.
- Propose contract renegotiations and enhancements aligned with business needs.
- Ensure contract compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations, including SUSEP requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on the reinsurance strategy.
- Track the performance of contracts and partner reinsurers, proactively managing deviations and opportunities.
- Facilitate the resolution of contractual and operational matters with various stakeholders.
- Build close, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Agronomy, or related fields.
- Experience in reinsurance, insurance, or financial markets, with a focus on analysis and negotiation.
- Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for reading and conversation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: experience with insurance companies, reinsurers, or reinsurance brokers.
- Preferred: experience negotiating technical and commercial terms with market partners.
- Preferred: knowledge of agricultural insurance products.
