About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and maintain Brave Bison's Digital PR proposition, framework and standards
  • Ensure strategic quality, commercial viability, innovation and best-practice alignment across client accounts
  • Act as the senior Digital PR authority and escalation point for strategic issues and client concerns
  • Provide guidance and oversight to consultants and associate directors
  • Support high-level client conversations and collaborate with Heads of Department
  • Lead and develop the Digital PR team, including line management of senior consultants and associate directors
  • Mentor, coach and provide strategic input to the team
  • Identify capability and tool gaps and develop training programmes or business cases
  • Lead hiring, onboarding and capacity planning
  • Maintain expert understanding of Digital PR, off-site SEO, technical foundations, on-page strategy and citation building
  • Guide the team on AI-driven discovery, AI Overviews and generative search
  • Ensure strategies support coverage, backlinks, AI citations and mentions where relevant
  • Develop measurement approaches with SEO, Content Strategy and Data teams
  • Collaborate with traditional PR, social media and brand teams
  • Develop Digital PR frameworks, methodologies, proprietary tools, approaches and products
  • Integrate Digital PR with SEO, traditional PR, social, paid media and data teams
  • Support new business, review and approve proposals, and identify account expansion opportunities
  • Position Brave Bison as a leading authority in Digital PR and organic discovery
  • Complete a structured maternity-cover handover and maintain continuity throughout the contract

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in Digital PR, SEO or organic performance roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading senior Digital PR specialists
  • Deep expertise in off-site SEO, Digital PR and the media landscape
  • Knowledge of technical foundations, on-page optimisation and content strategy
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven discovery and generative search
  • Hands-on experience developing Digital PR strategies supporting wider performance marketing activity
  • Experience collaborating with traditional PR and social teams
  • Experience in an agency or consultancy environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting pitches and proposals
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to guide teams through complex strategic challenges
  • Ability to step into an established team and client relationships at pace
  • Confidence to lead from day one of a fixed-term contract
