About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying and correcting discrepancies
  • Execute and support monthly and annual accounting close processes
  • Prepare accounting entries and reclassifications, ensuring the accurate presentation of financial information
  • Ensure the proper accounting treatment of provisions, accruals, depreciation, amortization, and other accounting adjustments
  • Validate account reconciliations and supporting documentation for transactions
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and technical explanations
  • Participate in the preparation and submission of ancillary tax and regulatory obligations related to the accounting function
  • Support the implementation of regulatory, tax, and accounting changes
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, internal controls, and departmental procedures
  • Collaborate with partner departments to ensure the integrity of information affecting accounting records
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize accounting processes
  • Provide technical support to the team’s Junior Analysts and Assistants

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience with accounting close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, including CPCs and IFRS
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Protheus, Domínio, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear and objective communication
