About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advise on compliant, risk-based solutions that help the organization achieve its goals
  • Independently champion compliance programs and focus areas
  • Advise business partners on risk assessments, projects, and regulatory change management
  • Promote regulatory agility across a fragmented and evolving regulatory landscape
  • Drive timely resolution of compliance issues
  • Analyze themes and actions appropriately
  • Advise business partners on mitigating risks through policies, procedures, processes, and controls
  • Develop solutions to mitigate regulatory risks based on organizational goals
  • Champion and educate business partners on the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program
  • Escalate issues and risks to senior leadership
  • Present on complex compliance matters to larger audiences as appropriate
  • Report to the Senior Manager and above; no direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8–10 years experience in Consumer credit, banking compliance, and/or a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Compliance, Risk, or Business preferred
  • Subject matter expertise in Compliance, Risk, Privacy, or Legal background
  • Certifications such as CRCM, CERP, CIPP, CAMS, or JD preferred
  • 5+ years with open End Consumer Credit Card Lending and Banking Compliance, including Fair Lending, Regulation B/ECOA, TILA/Regulation Z, FCRA, and UDAAP
  • Experience leading people indirectly
  • Analytical, solution-oriented, and advocacy skills to execute in a strategic advisor role
  • Knowledge of regulatory agility, Privacy by Design Integration, AI Governance, strategic influence, risk-based decision-making, regulatory compliance, research, change management, risk management, and risk assessments
  • Ability to travel up to 5% annually
  • Must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future sponsorship
  • F-1 student visa holders are not eligible
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and meet physical, mental, and work-environment requirements
