About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more.
  • Manage cases from inception to resolution.
  • Develop legal strategy.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Argue motions in court and appear in court.
  • Attend mediations and trials.
  • Work with individuals, businesses, and organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and receive mentorship from experienced partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably handling matters involving general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes.
  • Current admission to the Nevada State Bar is required.
  • Experience preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and legal briefs, taking and defending depositions, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, and appearing in court.
  • Arbitration and/or trial experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience supervising law clerks and junior associates is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, a client-focused mindset, and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
