About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the strategic vision, roadmap, and commercial growth plan for the Identity practice
- Design, refine, and evolve a portfolio of identity services including identity strategy, maturity assessments, IAM architecture and design, PAM, IGA, and Zero Trust identity architectures
- Ensure services meet CNI regulatory and assurance expectations, including resilience, segregation of duties, and OT/IT identity convergence
- Act as senior technical authority and escalation point for identity engagements
- Build strategic partnerships with identity vendors including Microsoft Entra, Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, and Ping Identity
- Define the business case, service design, and operating model for a Managed Identity Service
- Establish tooling, processes, and SLAs for ongoing identity services
- Identify resourcing, technology, and partnership requirements to scale the managed offering
- Design and deliver identity upskilling and training programmes
- Create reusable methodologies, playbooks, reference architectures, and accelerators
- Mentor and develop consultants on identity engagements
- Champion relevant certifications and vendor accreditations
- Advise CNI clients on identity strategy, risk, and roadmaps
- Support pre-sales, scoping, proposal writing, and bid activities
- Represent the practice through workshops, conferences, whitepapers, and industry discussions
- Collaborate with OT security, cloud security, managed security services, and GRC practices on cross-sell opportunities
- Provide oversight and quality assurance across live identity engagements
- Support resource planning and allocation
- Own and evolve delivery methodologies and documentation standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in Identity and Access Management, with a demonstrable track record designing and delivering IAM/IGA/PAM solutions in a consulting or advisory environment
- Prior experience working with, or serving, Critical National Infrastructure, regulated, or high-assurance environments
- Experience building or scaling a service line, practice, or capability within a professional services or consultancy environment
- Track record of designing and delivering training or capability-uplift programmes for technical teams
- Experience contributing to or shaping managed service offerings is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint, CyberArk, ForgeRock, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of IAM, IGA, PAM, Zero Trust architecture, and identity federation/SSO standards including SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and SCIM
- Awareness of OT/IT identity convergence challenges and constraints in industrial and CNI environments
- Familiarity with NIS Regulations, NCSC CAF, and sector-specific standards
- Relevant vendor or industry certifications desirable, such as Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator, SailPoint, CyberArk, CISSP, or CISM
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
- Ability to engage senior client stakeholders and translate technical complexity into business terms
- Coaching and mentoring capability
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and building structure and process
- Collaborative working across practice and functional boundaries
- Must either hold SC security clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo security clearance
