Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
  • Lead engineering design, development, installation, programming, startup, and support
  • Execute electrical design, UL508 panel construction, machine installation, programming, and system startup
  • Maintain standardization of control systems and components
  • Evaluate processes and equipment and recommend modifications for cost savings, quality, and safety improvements
  • Recommend additions and modifications to manufacturing equipment
  • Propose programs advancing product quality, productivity, energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and safety
  • Lead, plan, organize, and control major projects
  • Agree with customers on project cost, schedule, and functionality
  • Meet project goals for cost, schedule, and functionality while handling multiple projects
  • Coordinate engineers, technicians, plant personnel, and contractors
  • Coach and mentor engineers and technicians
  • Manage safety design and contractor safety for projects
  • Review and delegate work to lower-level professionals
  • Evaluate processes and communicate with operators through Gemba and Kaizen activities
  • Support internal and external stakeholder relationships through cross-functional teams
  • Maintain electrical expertise across multiple plant areas
  • Attend trade shows and technical seminars and keep current with technical publications
  • Train engineers, maintenance staff, and plant staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Project Management
  • PLC Programming
  • HMI Design
  • Electrical Expertise
  • Rockwell Automation Products
  • Allen Bradley Software
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation products including motion and safety
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic, Safety PLC programming and HMI design
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley software: Studio/RS Logix 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, RSLinx Classic/OEM, Asset Center
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Vault, Revit, and other Autodesk suite software
  • Fanuc robotics software and operation
  • Hardware design experience with low-voltage (<600VAC) power distribution, UL 508A controls design, VFD sizing, and Ethernet/IP networking architecture
  • Must be able to complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
  • Temporary work authorization or need for sponsorship may disqualify employment; sponsorship is unavailable
  • Candidates on OPT or F1 visas cannot be considered
