About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead projects or processes of diverse scope while working independently
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Apply engineering principles to execute subjective and objective Ride, Handling, and NVH tests
  • Execute subjective and objective testing of prototypes
  • Develop and use data acquisition systems for objective evaluations
  • Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders through strong communication
  • Capture institutional knowledge
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred but not required
  • ASE certification would be a plus
  • Strong interest or experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience with vehicle or automotive component testing, including NVH and signal processing
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • US Passport required
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30–50%
  • Bridgestone is unable to offer sponsorship for this role
  • Temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify employment
