About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support open enrollment through employee communications, enrollment questions, documentation, and follow-up
- Coordinate leaves of absence, including documentation, deadlines, records, and updates with HR, payroll, managers, and outside partners
- Manage and prioritize the HR Benefits email inbox
- Answer routine benefits questions, route issues, and follow through to resolution
- Help employees navigate benefit enrollment, eligibility, qualifying life events, and health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other benefit programs
- Maintain accurate employee benefit information and support payroll with benefit deduction questions and discrepancies
- Coordinate with the benefits team, insurance broker, carriers, and other partners to resolve administrative issues
- Support wellness initiatives, including annual wellness screenings
- Communicate benefit updates and resources
- Assist with benefits reporting, renewal information, process documentation, and related HR administrative projects
- Protect confidential employee information and follow established procedures and applicable requirements
- Work closely with the HR Benefits Partner and leadership, owning routine processes and escalating complex questions when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in HR administration, benefits support, leave coordination, or a related employee-support role
- Familiarity with employee benefits enrollment and administrative processes
- Leave-of-absence experience is preferred; transferable HR experience and demonstrated ability to learn new processes will also be considered
- Clear, approachable communication and a commitment to helping employees understand their next steps
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines
- Sound judgment, including knowing when to resolve an issue independently and when to seek guidance
- Experience maintaining confidential records and using HRIS or benefits systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work independently, collaborate remotely, and follow tasks through completion
- Previous HR experience is preferred
- High-level customer service a must
