About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a comprehensive, site-by-site inventory of circuits, carriers, phone numbers, VoIP services, devices, contracts, costs, and service status
  • Review, reconcile, and approve telecommunications invoices and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for telecommunications carriers and service providers
  • Manage issues, installations, commitments, and escalations through completion
  • Coordinate telecommunications projects, including circuit consolidation, new circuit installations, carrier transitions, VoIP migrations, and legacy service disconnects
  • Manage telecommunications services from order through disconnect
  • Troubleshoot telecom-related outages and connectivity issues with vendors and internal IT teams
  • Communicate outage status, business impact, and updates to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage day-to-day VoIP administration, including users, extensions, phone numbers, devices, voicemail, fax, call routing, queues, licensing, and connectivity
  • Support telecommunications-related employee and device onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain phone and voicemail systems and provide user support and training
  • Serve as an escalation point for telecom, voice, circuit, and connectivity issues
  • Maintain accurate telecommunications documentation
  • Support telecommunications integration for acquisitions, including service discovery, number porting, equipment requirements, VoIP migration, cutover coordination, and retirement of legacy services
  • Develop reports and dashboards for budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and project tracking
  • Manage projects while maintaining established budgets and schedules
  • Improve processes, performance, service reliability, and telecommunications efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–4 years of experience supporting telecommunications environments, including VoIP, carrier circuits, telecom expense management, vendor coordination, and/or multi-site implementations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Equivalent education and work experience will be considered
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience coordinating circuit installations, carrier migrations, number porting, and service disconnects
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • Familiarity with telecommunications carriers, billing structures, and contracts
  • Prior experience with RingCentral
