About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute Bridgeway's compensation philosophy, job architecture, and pay equity framework
- Lead the annual merit cycle, including budget modeling, manager guidance, system configuration, and executive reporting
- Analyze compensation surveys and benchmark roles against the market
- Provide compensation guidance for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers
- Support total compensation budgeting, workforce cost modeling, and compensation analysis
- Lead benefits strategy, design, and ongoing management for health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs
- Drive open enrollment, employee communications, system configuration, and carrier/vendor coordination
- Manage benefits broker, TPA, stop-loss carrier, and 401(k) record keeper relationships
- Ensure benefits and leave programs comply with ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and state-specific requirements
- Lead HR Operations service delivery across the employee lifecycle
- Directly manage, coach, and develop the HR Operations Specialist
- Manage ACA, EEOC, and IRS/DOL compliance reporting
- Drive HRIS data integrity, automation, integration, process improvement, and operational efficiency
- Develop and improve HR SOPs and process documentation
- Analyze workforce cost, compensation equity, and benefits utilization data
- Lead and contribute to human capital projects, including system implementations, program launches, policy updates, and organizational changes
- Use generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to streamline workflows and improve outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated depth in compensation program design, job architecture, market benchmarking, and incentive design
- Proven experience managing a full benefits portfolio, including self-funded health plan administration, 401(k)/retirement plan administration, vendor and broker relationships, open enrollment execution, and regulatory compliance
- Prior experience managing or formally mentoring direct reports
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in compensation data modeling; advanced Excel required
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow and Lattice strongly desired; comparable HRIS/payroll and performance management platforms required
- Working knowledge of FLSA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, 401(k)/retirement compliance, and IRS/DOL requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to advise and influence senior leaders
- Ability to operate as a player-coach with high autonomy and strategic depth
- High discretion, integrity, and independent judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Experience using generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline required
- CCP or CEBS strongly preferred; HRCI or SHRM certification a plus
