About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach IAS 300: Professional Development in International Studies, including in-class lectures, assessments, and assignments
- Communicate regularly with the IAS Academic Program Director
- Meet all standards outlined for faculty at Brigham Young University
- Collaborate with Area Studies Coordinators as needed
- Support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's Degree is required, preferably in a related field; the required degree must be completed by the start date
- Experience teaching Career and Professional Development skills to students from all academic disciplines
- Practical experience in Career Services, including student mentoring
- Experience adapting curriculum to meet specific audience needs
- Strong familiarity with key concepts outlined in the approved course curriculum
- Updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement required at application
- Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment
- Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
- All employees must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards
- Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university
