About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children
- Maintain open communication with parents and share children’s daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
- Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or nearby locations
- Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in an early education/preschool child care center
- Follow Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, and guidance and comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers as an all-ages float closer
- Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks
- Candidates must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
- CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
- Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally more than 40 pounds
- Ability to demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and participate in activities
- Ability to respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and appropriate energy to perform essential job requirements
