About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children
- Maintain open communication with parents and share children’s daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
- Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or nearby locations
- Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services according to Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, and guidance
- Work with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers in an early education/preschool child care center
- Respond to multiple or unexpected situations and emergencies to ensure children’s safety
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass required state and company background checks
- Must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children required
- Colorado Shines PDIS Level 2 required
- College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred
- 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred
- Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally more than 40 pounds
- Ability to demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and fully participate in activities
- Ability to respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
- Ability to maintain mental and physical alertness and appropriate energy level
- Must work in person in the Loveland or Fort Collins, Colorado area
