Key responsibilities & impact

Design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization platforms
Manage software-defined networking and software-defined storage platforms
Operate platforms across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments
Work with vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu
Automate platform operations and manage capacity
Operate and support a large VMware estate alongside modern cloud-native workloads
Apply strong automation and operations discipline
Troubleshoot issues across compute, network, and storage layers
Navigate the evolving VMware product landscape pragmatically

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
6+ years of experience required
Five or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience
Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management
Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking
Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and experience with automation tooling
Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms
Strong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM
Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VCAP credentials preferred
Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or GCVE preferred
Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) preferred
Experience with Aria Operations / vRealize Operations preferred
Exposure to migration programs out of VMware to alternative virtualization platforms preferred
U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply
