About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 English Language Arts lessons to children
- Help students build confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
- Use ready-made materials and detailed lesson scripts without creating original content
- Track each child’s progress and share insights with the academic team
- Continuously improve class engagement and student experience
- Complete onboarding training covering Brighterly overview, teaching materials, online teaching tools, Teacher Room, and communication practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- C1+ English proficiency with a clear, neutral accent
- Passion for teaching young learners and making lessons engaging
- At least 6 months of teaching experience with children
- At least high-school level language knowledge and diploma
- Strong knowledge of phonics, reading comprehension, and writing
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week, with weekdays prioritized
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must not be a resident of Russia, Crimea, Cuba, Lebanon, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar, Yemen, or Pakistan, and must provide documentary proof
- Must be ready to work at least 20 hours per week between 4 pm and 8 pm New York timezone
- Bachelor degree in education or a similar field requested in the application form
