About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 Mathematics lessons for children
- Use ready-made materials and detailed lesson scripts
- Help students build foundations in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and logical thinking
- Track each child’s progress and share insights with the academic team
- Continuously improve class engagement and student experience
- Complete onboarding training covering Brighterly, teaching materials, Teacher Room, teaching tools, and communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- C1+ English proficiency, with a clear, neutral accent
- Passion for teaching and making math exciting for children
- At least 6 months of teaching experience with kids
- At least high-school level math knowledge and diploma
- Strong knowledge of math concepts taught at the K–8 level
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Availability for at least 20 hours/week, with weekdays prioritized
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week between 4 pm and 8 pm New York timezone
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must not be a resident of Russia, Crimea, Cuba, Lebanon, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar, Yemen, or Pakistan and must be able to provide documentary proof
