About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and meet close deadlines
  • Create financial statements, including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements
  • Support financial audits by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors
  • Perform monthly variance analyses and help stakeholders understand financial performance
  • Collaborate on annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Assist with weekly cash forecasting and treasury activities
  • Support preparation and filing of sales/use and property tax returns
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and compliance with filing deadlines
  • Support tax-related audits and government inquiries
  • Maintain internal controls over accounting processes and financial reporting
  • Identify automation opportunities using Claude, Alteryx, and Co-Pilot
  • Participate in implementing and refining accounting systems and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA license required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Self-starter willing to take initiative and identify solutions to new problems and challenges
  • Professionalism and ability to manage conflict
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Intacct and LeaseQuery
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Adaptability within a dynamic work environment
