About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own key moments in the member journey across onboarding, activation, subscription management, and retention
  • Create fast, intuitive experiences that reduce friction, build trust, and keep members engaged
  • Design end-to-end experiences from early concepts and wireframes through polished designs, prototypes, launch, and iteration
  • Use activation, retention, and other data signals to uncover friction, prioritize opportunities, and assess impact
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, explore solutions, and identify opportunities beyond the immediate roadmap
  • Work with the UX Researcher to understand member needs, behaviors, and pain points and apply insights to design decisions
  • Collaborate with the Senior Product Designer on Growth & Memberships to improve design quality and create thoughtful member experiences
  • Ship quickly, observe member responses, learn, and continuously iterate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of Product Design experience
  • A portfolio showcasing high-quality designs and problem-solving ability
  • Experience designing consumer-facing apps, ideally something people use daily and trust with something important
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, requirements, and deliverables independently
  • Experience creating highly accessible products
  • Ability to create high-fidelity prototypes
  • A genuine curiosity about why people do what they do, especially when it comes to money and the small moments that make someone stick around (or bounce)
  • Must be based in the United States
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in the New York City office, 3x per week in-office
