About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build Brim's new cross-platform mobile app from scratch
Own architecture, implementation, testing, and release
Choose and set up the tech stack, project structure, CI/CD pipeline, and coding standards
Partner with Product and Design to turn requirements and mockups into polished user experiences
Integrate with Brim's APIs and backend services
Collaborate with platform engineers when backend changes are needed
Build with security, privacy, and reliability in mind
Manage Apple App Store and Google Play submission and release processes
Monitor performance and stability after launch
Fix bugs and ship regular improvements based on user feedback and data
Document the codebase and key decisions for handoff or team scaling

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional experience building and shipping mobile applications
3+ years with a cross-platform framework
Strong proficiency in React Native
Working knowledge of native iOS and Android, including Swift/Kotlin
Experience launching at least one app to the App Store and/or Google Play and managing the release process
Experience integrating REST APIs
Experience with authentication, state management, and local data storage
Understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD for mobile
Strong ownership mindset and ability to prioritize and deliver with limited oversight
Curiosity about AI tools and eagerness to use them
Excellent communication of technical trade-offs to non-technical teammates
