About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in field and technical evaluations of in-service equipment and piping
- Provide root cause failure analysis of equipment and piping failures
- Perform calculations
- Develop repair drawings
- Provide repair and replacement recommendations
- Prepare specifications and scopes of work packages for construction
- Interface with clients and construction teams
- Attend meetings
- Provide written reports
- Provide technical support for field execution
- Analyze, calculate, and design new or rehabilitated infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of experience; 3+ years maximum range indicated
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and ASME VIII Div I preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- No management experience required
- Physical mobility on the ground and at heights
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. when required
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and use required fall protection when required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE
- Ability to position oneself to work in confined spaces when required
- Ability to adhere to client random drug testing programs when required
- Ability to meet client facial hair safety policies when required
- Ability to meet all client-specific site requirements prior to field assignments
