About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct field evaluations of industrial structures
- Analyze data and develop models
- Develop calculations and analytical models in steel and concrete
- Design rehabilitation and/or replacement plans
- Specify materials and write reports
- Provide technical support for structural construction
- Perform quality control of structural construction
- Work under licensed P.E.’s and S.E.’s toward professional licensure
- Apply root cause failure analysis techniques
- Support fieldwork in various industrial facilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
- 0–3+ years of experience
- Familiarity with modelling software such as STAAD required
- Knowledge of ACI 318, AISC, ASCE-7, and IBC required
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical mobility on the ground and at heights
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. when required
- Ability to work at heights and climb ladders and stairways when required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE
- Ability to work in confined spaces when required
- Ability to adhere to client random drug testing programs when required
- Ability to meet client facial hair safety policies when required
- Ability to meet client-specific site requirements before field assignments
