About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support field evaluation of existing structures
- Assist in developing calculations and analytical models in steel and/or concrete
- Produce basic engineering sketches for drafting
- Assist in developing reports
- Work under licensed P.E.’s and S.E.’s to progress towards E.I.T.
- Gain exposure to field work environments in various industrial facilities
- Learn the basics of developing calculations and analytical models of structures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Basic knowledge of design codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eligible to take E.I.T. within one year of start date preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- Physical mobility on the ground and at heights
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and use required fall protection
- Ability to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to adhere to client random drug testing programs when required
- Ability to meet client facial hair safety policies when required
- No management experience required
- Experience requirement: 0 to 1+ years
