About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as RayzeBio's primary IT owner of the commercial operations application portfolio
- Build, operate, and maintain custom digital solutions, including a customer ordering portal and commercial operations solution
- Support operations managers partnering with customers, field teams, and manufacturers to ensure product delivery
- Partner with radiopharmacies and third-party providers to ensure timely, reliable, and accurate data transfer related to product orders and availability
- Develop and execute detailed testing plans with IT and enterprise teams
- Create and deliver training materials for end-product consumers
- Determine systems validation scope with senior leaders and follow GxP procedures as necessary
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and uptime; act as escalation point for critical application issues
- Apply AI to improve team execution and decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement, enhancements, and upgrades across the application portfolio
- Establish governance, documentation, and change-control practices for regulated commercial systems
- Partner with functional leaders across Commercial and Data Strategy
- Manage release cycles, support, training, and onboarding
- Translate business requirements into a prioritized technology roadmap aligned with business needs
- Facilitate roadmap reviews and business-case development with senior leadership
- Represent commercial operations technology needs in cross-functional and enterprise IT planning forums
- Manage vendor performance, including SLAs, issue escalation, and business reviews
- Partner with Procurement and Legal on contracts, renewals, and vendor risk management
- Identify opportunities to streamline or consolidate vendor relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field
- Advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations technology, IT business partnering, or a related discipline within biotech, pharma, or a comparable regulated industry
- Experience owning or supporting commercial-facing applications, such as order management, distribution/logistics, license management, or supply planning systems
- Experience building and maintaining integrated data layers or data pipelines combining information across multiple business functions or external sources
- Proven track record partnering with senior business stakeholders to build and execute technology roadmaps
- Experience managing external vendors/suppliers, including performance oversight and issue resolution
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to commercial pharma/biotech systems, including GxP and computer systems validation
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or other short shelf-life/specialty distribution models preferred
- Direct experience in software engineering preferred
- Familiarity with order management/e-commerce portals preferred
- Experience in a growth-stage or newly commercial biotech environment preferred
- 25% travel as required
