About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement North America logistics strategies across Clinical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy modalities
- Monitor external trends and industry best practices to drive continuous process improvement
- Lead cross-functional projects, change controls, and multi-modality logistics initiatives
- Oversee North America network operations and close performance gaps with functional leads
- Report progress, risks, and outcomes to NA GLS senior leadership
- Harmonize processes, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and operating models across modalities
- Map and integrate system workflows across the North America logistics environment
- Partner with IT and digital teams to design interoperable workflows
- Define and maintain service-level segmentation criteria balancing risk, cost, and criticality
- Own the North America logistics performance framework
- Define, monitor, and report KPIs; maintain visibility tools and dashboards
- Support budget and expense management through reporting, analysis, and actuals-versus-plan monitoring
- Lead monthly and quarterly performance review cadences
- Identify performance gaps, implement corrective actions, and track resolution
- Serve as organizational operations partner, informal escalation point, and trusted advisor to NA logistics leadership
- Prepare governance materials and leadership presentations
- Champion digital and AI enablement across the logistics organization
- Serve as subject matter expert for SAP logistics workflows and processes
- Develop and deliver SAP and process training programs
- Lead automation and operational visibility initiatives
- Assess outsourcing opportunities and develop recommendations
- Lead knowledge management efforts and centralize modality-specific logistics knowledge
- Foster relationships with global and regional stakeholders
- Develop stakeholder communication plans for major operational changes and implementations
- Represent NA GLS Modality Integration in cross-functional and global forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree or MBA with a Logistics/Supply Chain focus preferred
- 10+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain distribution activities
- Demonstrated experience across multiple supply chain modalities, including Clinical, Commercial, and/or Cell Therapy
- Experience leading cross-functional or cross-organizational integration initiatives, including harmonization of processes, SOPs, and operating models
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and ability to drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups in a complex, matrixed environment
- Knowledge and experience of supply chain and logistics operations in clinical, commercial, or cell therapy environments
- Understanding and experience of GMP and GDP requirements
- Experience developing and implementing service level frameworks, SLAs, and segmentation approaches
- Experience developing and managing KPIs, performance dashboards, and operational reporting tools
- Strong skills in electronic systems, data analysis, and data management
- Track record of delivering automation, outsourcing evaluation, or operational efficiency initiatives
- Strong knowledge management skills, including building and maintaining knowledge repositories
- Experience with SAP or equivalent logistics management systems
- Ability to serve as a systems subject matter expert and deliver structured training programs
- Familiarity with AI and digital enablement tools in a supply chain context
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Relevant certifications such as APICS CSCP, PMP, or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to travel approximately 15–20%
