About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify disease- and product-related medical needs in a defined geography
  • Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders and healthcare providers
  • Engage in peer-to-peer scientific exchange to support medical education, data generation, insight generation, and patient access
  • Serve as a medical resource for external stakeholders
  • Identify, develop, and enhance relationships with research thought leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders
  • Use 1:1, group presentation, remote, and other interaction channels
  • Assess the medical landscape and understand stakeholder needs and expertise
  • Maintain knowledge of treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, and scientific activities
  • Understand the competitive landscape and address customer informational needs
  • Partner with HCPs on disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, company-sponsored trials, and investigator-sponsored research
  • Attend and provide scientific support at medical congresses and local/regional meetings
  • Collect and communicate meaningful medical insights to medical organizations to support strategy development
  • Support clinical trials to enhance patient recruitment, enrollment, and discussions around safe and effective use of investigational products
  • Provide recommendations and insights to clinical development teams on study and site feasibility
  • Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing, submitting, and performing investigator-sponsored research
  • Spend the majority of time in the field with the team and external customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP or MD with experience in Hematology / Oncology and relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
  • Disease area knowledge and understanding of scientific publications
  • Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment
  • Excellent English language skills, spoken and written
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment
  • Prior MSL experience
  • Ability to work independently and act as a team player
  • Ability to translate scientific or clinical data into an understandable and valuable form for HCPs
  • Good communication and presentation skills for presenting scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals
  • Ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with thought leaders, scientists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to learn new subject areas and environments quickly and comprehensively
  • Ability to drive a company-provided car
  • High level of ethics, integrity, and a responsible and safe driving history
  • Must live in the managed territory or within 50 miles of the territory borders
  • Travel required
