About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own global medical strategy for a subset of hematology and oncology early-development assets from candidate selection through clinical proof-of-concept
  • Provide medical accountability for a set of early HO assets
  • Manage cross-functional relationships across R&D, Medical, and Commercial teams
  • Serve as a core member of early asset Global Program Teams
  • Partner with Global Program Leads, Clinical Development leads, Translational Medicine leads, and HO Medical/Commercial teams to deliver program objectives and milestones
  • Ensure development of differentiated early Target Product Profiles and contribute to early Clinical Development Plans
  • Own early Integrated Evidence Plans to drive innovative data generation and accelerate and de-risk clinical development
  • Own medical communications strategies and develop scientific narratives and publication strategies
  • Engage external Thought Leaders and Patient Advocacy groups to inform compound strategies, asset decisions, and portfolio tradeoffs
  • Lead planning and execution of advisory boards
  • Work effectively in a highly matrixed environment with an enterprise mindset

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced degree - MD, PharmD, or PhD
  • 8-10 years clinical, medical, or other pharma industry experience
  • Relevant industry experience in Medical Affairs, Translational Medicine, and/or Clinical Development
  • Therapeutic experience in malignant hematology and/or oncology
  • Working knowledge of basic and clinical science and early drug development
  • Proven ability to interact with thought leaders and key customers in the early clinical space
  • Ability to manage multiple assets, priorities, and decision timelines in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Ability to lead without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific and clinical information and construct compelling value narratives
  • Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders
