About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and motivate approximately 6–10 Therapeutic Area Specialists (TASs)
  • Drive adoption of the assigned Cardiovascular portfolio and generate demand
  • Coach TASs on selling skills, scientific engagement, digital capabilities, and core competencies
  • Conduct selected ride-alongs with TASs for important health care providers
  • Own TAS learning journeys and ensure continuous improvement in skills and behaviors
  • Champion adoption of CE^3 analytics, content personalization, Medical on Call, and other digital capabilities
  • Convene field teams to exchange experiences, collect feedback, and coach change leadership
  • Prioritize accounts and develop strategies for key accounts
  • Ensure continuous customer experience improvement
  • Lead financial and program planning for the district
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and BMS policies
  • Collaborate across Commercial, Medical, Access, Scientific Engagement Partner, Field Access Manager, and other field organizations
  • Spend 100% of time in the field with TASs, depending on geographic area
  • Report to the Regional Business Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or other related industry experience
  • Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales, or equivalent experience leading and managing high-performing teams, strongly preferred
  • Pharma experience, including understanding of reimbursement processes, access, and distribution environment, strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals
  • Proven successful track record of selecting, developing, and retaining talented individuals
  • Experience using analytical skills and selling skills, developing strong business acumen, and working knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of residence
  • Driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company
  • Expertise in the Cardiovascular therapeutic area
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining scientific and clinical data
  • Ability to use data insights to inform engagement and strategic planning
  • Adeptness with digital tools
  • Ability to lead across a matrix
  • Strong business acumen to analyze business and market drivers and develop, execute, and adjust business plans
