About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region
- Drive demand for BMS medicines for appropriate patients
- Engage healthcare providers through differentiated customer experiences and scientific dialogue consistent with product labeling
- Build and maintain professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians, HCPs, office staff, and other patient-care stakeholders
- Liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs and deliver a higher customer experience
- Spend substantial time in the field with external customers
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans
- Use SOPHIA to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans
- Provide feedback on tools to leadership for continuous improvement
- Present approved scientific resources and publications to HCPs
- Conduct in-office presentations, including lunch-and-learns
- Organize external speaker programs and coordinate approved speakers, scheduling, and logistics
- Maintain working expertise on emerging data for approved indications
- Engage Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries
- Collaborate with other field teams
- Gather and share customer insights internally
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly
- Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office staff, and customer influence networks
- Cardiovascular experience preferred
- Strong account management skills
- Superior selling competencies and proven sales performance track record meeting or exceeding goals
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Strong selling and promotional skills
- Customer/commercial mindset and ability to drive business results
- Experience identifying, engaging, and cultivating credibility with customers across the patient care journey
- Problem-solving and account management skills
- Understanding of the patient journey
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences, and clinical data

- Ability to use Medical on Call technology
- Strong business acumen
- High integrity and good judgment
- At least 21 years of age
- Driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of residence
- Acceptable driving risk level as determined by the Company
