About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive demand for BMS cardiovascular medicines for appropriate patients
- Promote approved BMS product indications within a defined territory or region while meeting or exceeding sales targets compliantly
- Engage healthcare providers through differentiated customer experiences and scientific dialogue consistent with product labeling
- Build and maintain professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community physicians, medical groups, office staff, and other patient-care stakeholders
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans
- Use SOPHIA and CE^3 to derive insights, inform call plans, and generate dynamic call planning
- Provide feedback on field tools to leadership
- Present approved scientific information to healthcare providers through in-office presentations and lunch-and-learns
- Organize external speaker programs, including approved speaker selection, scheduling, and logistics
- Maintain expertise in emerging data for approved indications
- Engage Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries
- Collaborate with other field teams and BMS functions to improve customer experience
- Gather and share customer insights internally
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians
- Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office staff, and customer influence networks
- Cardiovascular experience preferred
- Strong account management skills, superior selling competencies, and a proven sales performance track record
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a track record of performance
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for scientific and clinical data
- Ability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences, and clinical data
- Ability to segment HCPs and tailor communications and product presentations
- Ability to use CE^3 for insights and dynamic call planning
- Competency using CE^3 and software or CRM tools to collect, enter, and manage compliant data
- Ability to use Medical on Call technology effectively
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop, execute, and adjust business plans
- High integrity and good judgment in accordance with BMS policies and procedures
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must hold a driver's license in good standing issued by the state of residence
- Must have a driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company
