About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets compliantly
- Create demand for BMS medicines by presenting balanced clinical and scientific rationale
- Maintain scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas
- Prepare and implement territory and account plans
- Use SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans
- Present approved scientific information to HCPs through in-office presentations and lunch-and-learns
- Organize external speaker programs, including speaker selection, scheduling, and logistics
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications
- Engage Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries
- Collaborate with other field teams to deliver strong customer experiences
- Gather and share customer insights internally
- Build and maintain professional credibility with regional thought leaders, physicians, HCPs, office staff, and other stakeholders
- Prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products while delivering business results and performance objectives
- Spend substantial time in the field with external customers
- Comply with laws, regulations, and BMS policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians
- Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office staff, and customer influence networks
- Cardiovascular experience preferred
- Strong account management skills and superior selling competencies
- Proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Strong selling and promotional skills
- Ability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences, and clinical data
- Competency using CE^3 and other software or CRM tools
- Ability to use Medical on Call technology
- Strong business acumen, learning agility, integrity, and judgment
- Qualified Driver requirements: at least 21 years of age, a driver's license in good standing issued by the state of residence, and an acceptable driving risk level
