About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets
  • Organize promotional programs such as lunch-and-learn and speaker programs
  • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients
  • Use AI-based targeting capabilities (CE3) to define call plans
  • Participate in omnichannel customer interactions
  • Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans
  • Present approved scientific resources and publications to HCPs while ensuring medical accuracy
  • Conduct office presentations and discuss product-related scientific information consistent with product labeling
  • Maintain working expertise on emerging data
  • Engage real-time medical support to answer unsolicited scientific questions
  • Collaborate proactively with other field teams to deliver a strong customer experience
  • Gather and share relevant customer insights and information internally
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies
  • Build and maintain relationships with national and regional thought leaders, community-based physicians/HCPs, office staff, and other patient-care stakeholders
  • Prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products while achieving business results and performance objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales /MSL / HCP / nurse
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients
  • Strong selling and promotional skills
  • Demonstrated account management skills, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network
  • Experience in Oncology preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset
  • Customer/commercial mindset and ability to drive business results
  • Experience identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with customers across the patient care journey
  • Demonstrated account management and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of patient flow through practices and ability to customize engagement and tailored messages
  • Resourcefulness and ability to create access
  • Digital agility
  • Understanding of the patient journey and ability to adopt a patient-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for scientific and clinical data
  • Strong learning mindset and passion for science; ability to stay current with latest data

  • High integrity and good judgment to navigate the role compliantly
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Driver’s license in good standing issued by the state of residence
