About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Broadcom's Mainframe Software Division online product, education, and private validation communities
  • Configure forum settings, assign user permissions, and troubleshoot access issues
  • Monitor community discussions and moderation queue daily
  • Oversee the community-based ideation platform and coordinate review of user-submitted functionality requests
  • Coordinate gated, private validation spaces for pre-release software with Product Management
  • Collaborate with the Mainframe Education team to host and promote virtual and in-person training opportunities
  • Liaise between customers, Product Management and Engineering, Support, and Marketing teams
  • Analyze community metrics and health indicators, including membership and activity
  • Build a customer recognition program for highly engaged education and customer engagement participants
  • Assist the Customer Engagement team with other in-person events
  • Moderate public community forums and lead ideation programs for product feedback
  • Manage private validation communities and promote web-based training paths, technical exchanges, and digital badges
  • Make strategic and tactical decisions affecting online customer engagement
  • Create new engagement approaches, processes, and systems
  • Resolve conflicts and escalate irresolvable conflicts or policy deviations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience OR Master's degree and 3+ years of related experience
  • Four or more years of experience in an online community engagement role
  • Advanced skills in time management, facilitation, and organization
  • Experience managing stakeholders
  • Knowledge of change management principles
  • Ability to work in a physical office environment at one of the listed locations
  • Working knowledge of the software industry
  • Working knowledge of mainframe software
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience navigating enterprise-level engagement hubs like Higher Logic
  • Foundational comfort with complex B2B software ecosystems or the enterprise IT landscape
  • Data-driven approach to tracking growth and sentiment metrics
  • Ability to manage private customer data and NDA-bound validation cycles
