About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deploy Calibre decks for advanced FINFET/GAA/HV nodes
- Define tool acceptance and certification criteria with Broadcom teams, foundries, and EDA vendors
- Define and develop IP test cases and basic test structures to validate tools and technology updates
- Develop software automation in Skill, PERL, UNIX shell scripting, and tool-flow integration
- Create documentation and provide hands-on training for AMS Design & Layout engineers
- Track and resolve tool and technology file issues with foundry and EDA vendor support teams
- Monitor EDA industry trends and new capabilities through conferences and research forums
- Engage with EDA and foundry R&D teams on advanced-node capability roadmaps
- Identify new tools, develop evaluation criteria and processes, and champion their introduction within the Broadcom design community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus 10+ years of EDA experience
- Legal right to work in the US without visa support
- User level familiarity with Calibre, Virtuoso Layout & Schematics, Quantus QRC, StarRC, QuickCap, Raphael, SPECTRE, and HSPICE
- Solid programming skills and background in basic layout design and technology knowledge
- Experience in all phases of CAD tools from evaluation, QA, test, release, and user support to documentation
- Expertise in Cadence Skill, PERL, UNIX Shell and utilities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
