Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Broadcom Account Directors, Solution Architects, and partners to qualify infrastructure solutions and architect hybrid frameworks
  • Build trusted relationships across customer Mainframe Systems Programming/Operations and Open Systems teams
  • Provide technical guidance during infrastructure modernization ideation and decision-making
  • Lead and execute product integration demonstrations, customized trials, and proofs of concept
  • Present Broadcom’s technical benefits and competitive differentiators
  • Provide technical specifications, architecture requirements, system integration instructions, and requirements documentation
  • Analyze hybrid environment requirements and implement Mainframe Infrastructure and Open Systems integration solutions
  • Review solution plans, upgrades, architectural shifts, and migration paths from competitive products
  • Conduct hardware, mainframe software, and open-systems interface comparative evaluations
  • Oversee installation, configuration, system integration, and performance tuning
  • Resolve complex system-level and integration issues as the senior technical support tier
  • Advise customers on platform engineering and open-systems integration trends and improvements
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Broadcom Mainframe Infrastructure Software and Open Systems integration products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • 8+ years of related Mainframe Infrastructure, Systems, and Open Systems integration experience
  • Deep understanding of Mainframe Infrastructure concepts, systems administration/programming practices, system utilities, and z/OS architecture components
  • Proven experience integrating Mainframe Infrastructure with Open Systems
  • Hands-on experience with Zowe, REST APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), CLI, or open-source hybrid integration tools
  • Capability to implement, configure, or upgrade Mainframe Infrastructure software
  • Ability to establish security interfaces and optimize cross-system communication layers
  • Proficiency with REXX, Java, and JCL
  • Experience with modern automation or scripting languages
  • Understanding of the competitive enterprise infrastructure software marketplace
  • Ability to translate complex client infrastructure requests into clear business needs and execution objectives
  • Capability to deliver professional written updates to project managers and enterprise stakeholders
  • Strong technical communication skills for post-implementation knowledge transfer
  • Experience aligning daily execution with project management communication frameworks
  • Ability to travel to client sites
