About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain complex data models for business use cases and reporting
Work with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into logical and physical data models
Deliver business data products and achieve Finance business priorities
Collaborate with data engineering teams to build data products and integrations
Enable trusted reporting, self-service analytics, and business insights
Manage data operations for the data platform and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Maintain documentation and metadata for data models
Assist project and program managers on larger, more complex projects
Assess data flows, duplication, risks, and gaps and develop a target-state roadmap
Facilitate project meetings and presentations for diverse audiences
Document and communicate data model designs and standards
Translate large data initiative requirements into technical designs
Build stakeholder relationships, identify business needs, and support implementation of data solutions
Identify and resolve performance issues and optimize database performance
Monitor and support the data platform and implement improvements
Adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
Communicate progress updates and findings using formal and informal written communication

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of data architecture and implementation
Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts
Ability to create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processing using Snowflake, AWS S3, AWS Glue or similar technologies
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of database queries
Experience working on medium-scale projects and handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
Strong knowledge and experience in data governance concepts and implementation
Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Ability to foster strong relationships
