About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and engage prospective clients through cold calling, email, social outreach, networking and industry events
  • Research target firms and contacts to develop thoughtful and relevant prospecting strategies
  • Generate and qualify leads and partner with Sales Executives to develop relationships into sales opportunities
  • Support Sales Executives throughout the sales process, including client meetings, presentations, proposals and RFP responses
  • Develop knowledge of Broadridge’s investment management technology and operations solutions and the markets served
  • Stay current on industry trends and use market intelligence to identify potential opportunities
  • Coordinate with Product, Solutions, Marketing and other internal partners to support sales activities
  • Maintain accurate prospecting, pipeline and client activity in CRM
  • Learn fundamentals of complex B2B sales, including discovery, solution positioning, pipeline management, commercial processes and contracting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales, business development, financial services or another client-facing role
  • Strong interest in developing a career in sales and financial services
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and willingness to proactively create opportunities
  • Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting and building new relationships
  • Curious, coachable and eager to learn complex products and markets
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of or interest in Asset Management and Alternative Investments and selling software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to follow-through
  • Working knowledge of CRM, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn and other sales tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed
