About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality software on time while following Broadridge SDLC processes
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across different environments
- Ensure technical and security best practices and Broadridge standards are continuously followed
- Translate business requirements into technical designs
- Troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in technical design sessions and review architecture and code across multiple projects
- Provide technical leadership in data design, coding, testing, technical design, development, and troubleshooting
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to software development project solutions
- Understand dependencies between software and other parts of the processing stack
- Support technical implementation, code quality, and development team productivity
- Estimate priority and non-priority projects and recommend scope or schedule changes based on capacity and unforeseen challenges
- Identify potential issues while maintaining focus on priorities
- Collaborate with peers and technical teams including development teams, Architecture, and TSS
- Guide junior associates through established processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7+ years of experience with commercial software architectures at both a software and infrastructure level
- Functional skills in Application Development Life Cycle / Agile Development, System Design and Architecture, and DevOps / Deployment automation
- Hands-on coding experience with Java/J2EE, AWS services/cloud programming, PL/SQL, Python, React JS, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and mobile native app development
- Knowledge of software design patterns and architectures such as microservices and layered patterns
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred
- 5-7+ years of experience within a programming and application system environment
- Proven track record in developing base frameworks, reusable programs, and defining standards
- Knowledge of AWS cloud platforms and containerization technologies
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum/SAFE practices
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Exposure to AI/ML techniques and methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and continuous integration (CI/CD) processes
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong written, communication, analytical, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and support business strategy and vision
