About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design, development, and maintenance of enterprise ETL workflows, data integration pipelines, and custom extracts
- Develop, enhance, and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects
- Analyze Talend jobs and lead migration to Apache NiFi
- Design and implement scalable NiFi data flows for ingestion, routing, transformation, validation, and delivery
- Build, test, debug, deploy, and support ETL solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, quality, security, governance, and performance
- Implement data quality checks, exception handling, reconciliation, and logging
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions
- Maintain technical design documents, data flow diagrams, source-to-target mappings, and process documentation
- Contribute to architecture reviews and the technical roadmap
- Establish and support Agile software development processes
- Collaborate with QA teams on test cases, transformation validation, and release verification
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers and team members
- Support application deployment and operations in AWS environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of strong SQL development experience
- Expertise in complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and data extraction and transformation logic
- Strong experience in SQL performance tuning
- Strong hands-on experience in ETL design, development, enhancement, support, and migration
- Experience in Apache NiFi, enterprise Java, and AWS environments is a plus
- Familiarity with Talend and analyzing existing Talend jobs for migration
- Experience with Shell scripting, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
