About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the safety and security of employees, clients, visitors, and property
  • Conduct loss prevention assessments and identify and characterize potential risks
  • Develop processes and procedures to report, manage, and mitigate loss and security risks
  • Oversee and conduct security activities, including controlling entry and exit and safeguarding facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property
  • Achieve goals through the work of others
  • Supervise daily activities of the business or technical support or production team
  • Set team priorities and coordinate work activities with other supervisors
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance in resolving problems
  • Assign work according to schedules and completion dates
  • Ensure employees adhere to organization procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conduct performance evaluations for assigned staff
  • Ensure guard inspections and reliefs comply with the service contract
  • Inspect assigned facilities and personnel for compliance with safety and security policies and procedures
  • Investigate complaints from Associates or staff
  • Draft policies and procedures for upper management review and implementation
  • Manage all activities of the shift
  • Handle associate administration, including counseling and scheduling
  • Run any shift without supervisory presence
  • Work assigned Friday and Saturday 10PM–10AM and Monday and Tuesday 2PM–10PM shifts, subject to change
  • Travel and perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum education level – High School graduate
  • College degree preferred
  • Two years of experience working in the security industry at a Broadridge location, or six years at non-Broadridge locations
  • Military and/or Law Enforcement experience or hiring manager recommendation may substitute for the stated security experience
  • Computer literacy and typing proficiency
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Familiarity with graphics programs such as Corel Draw
  • Familiarity with PDF applications such as Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Familiarity with access control systems; S2 ACS is a plus
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems; S2 NetVRs and Axis CCTV cameras are a plus
  • Ability to communicate orally in a clear and professional manner
  • Ability to write effectively, clearly, and concisely
  • Ability to understand budgetary processes
  • Flexibility to work changing shifts based on coverage and department needs
  • Must be able to travel and perform other related duties as assigned by management
