About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome members and visitors while delivering professional and friendly service
  • Provide outstanding member service to new and existing members or visitors while fulfilling service needs
  • Accurately process financial service transactions while maintaining a cash drawer
  • Detect and report fraud or irregular activities as a first line of defense
  • Build member relationships by engaging in conversations, identifying solutions, and making recommendations
  • Respond to member inquiries about general information, products/services, and lending
  • Problem-solve and resolve member issues in a timely manner
  • Promote self-service resources and digital channel offerings
  • Participate in cross-selling initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and events
  • Pursue professional development through coaching, job shadowing, mentoring, and training
  • Achieve management-provided goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support branches within the Capital Central #1 Region; assigned to the Albany - 110 State Street Branch

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma (or GED), and customer service experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work out of any location at any time, as business needs dictate
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and auditory communication skills, as well as interpersonal interaction skills
  • Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply
