About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide outstanding member service to new and existing members and visitors
  • Accurately process financial service transactions while maintaining a cash drawer
  • Detect and report fraud or irregular activities
  • Build member relationships by identifying solutions and making recommendations
  • Respond to member inquiries about information, products/services, lending, and related topics
  • Resolve member issues in a timely manner
  • Promote self-service resources and digital channels
  • Participate in cross-selling initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and events

  • Achieve management-provided goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support the Capital Central Region #2, including Headquarters, Central Avenue, Altamont, and Guilderland Branch locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma (or GED), and customer service experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to work out of any location at any time, as business needs dictate
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and auditory communication skills, as well as interpersonal interaction skills
  • Bilingual individuals fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply
